A domain name is the name you type into the address bar of a browser (such as Internet Explorer or Netscape) to get to a site on the web.  For example: vrfaq.org.uk, virtualriders.org, or google.co.uk are all domain names.  .com, .org, .net (and a few others) are called Top Level Domains (TLD’s) which should either be attributed to international organisations or companies or American ones!  Download or view a comprehensive explanation here:
